SYMPTOMS:
1)Disruptive classroom
behavior.
2) Unable to sit
still...constantly getting up or squirming
3) Talking excessively...especially
in class settings, disrupting
4) Unable to wait
for his turn
5) constant fidgeting
with hands or objects
Diagnosis is by observation of child's behavior and history
and symptoms
must:
- Occur before age 7
- Last for at least 6 months
- Negatively affect the child’s ability to function at school and at home
Treatment is usually through medications
and diet
