ALPHABETICAL LIST OF COMMON PSYCHOLOGICAL DISTURBANCES

Binge eating is actually a sub-heading under eating disorders, although this particular eating disorder is the most common.
Most people overeat occasionally, but the binge eater may consume ten times as much food as normal during the time they are in the binge cycle.
Binge eaters may also deal with trhe shame and/or guilt associated with the behavior. The binge may last for a few hours or for an entire day, and is associated with other emotinal disturbances. There are some signs to look for however:
Eating large amounts of food
Hoarding food
Hiding the overeating
Dieting frequently but losing no weight
Depression
Shame connected with eating
Anxiety.
