School Age ( 6-12 yrs)

Your Child should gain an AVERAGE of  5 to 7 pounds a year.

Your Child  should gain  an AVERAGE 2 ½ inches per year.

At 6 to 7 tears old, the AVERAGE child:

Engages in drawing

May begin to lose their baby teeth

See well enough to have vision tested

Can master physical skills like riding a bike

Can count and add simple sums

Understands  concept of time

Knows right from left hand

Is beginning to learn to tell time.

Ios beginning to learn to read

At 8 to 9 years the AVERAGE child:

Learns to master using some tools

Can dress and bathe himself

The AVERAGE 10 to 12 year old can:

Learn fine motor skills like painting and sewing

“Collect” things

Can master fractions

Know the date

Can name months and days of week

Write stories and letters

Better communication
